Philosophy Lecture Series with Professor Jason Giannetti: Medieval Philosophy (YH)
The fall of the Roman Empire led to the rise of what we now know as the Medieval worldview. Philosophy in this era was very much tied up with theology. We will examine the contributions of such thinkers as Boethius, St. Thomas Aquinas, Moses Maimonides, as well as Islamic thinkers whose ideas helped shape the Jewish and Christian orthodoxy.
