Once a prospective resident chooses Youville, a completed application is submitted. This includes a Physician’s Evaluation which is completed by a physician and sent to Youville. There is no fee to submit an application.
When the apartment of choice becomes available, the prospective resident signs the “Community Fee Agreement” and submits a one-time, $4000 Community Fee. Once the physician’s evaluation form is received, our Wellness Director completes an in-depth assessment of the individual care needs of the applicant. Should it be determined that Youville cannot meet those needs, the Community Fee is refunded, less $350.
Short-term or Respite Lease Option
While most residents move to Youville as their permanent residence, there are some circumstances that warrant a short-term lease. Many people requiring assistance following a hospitalization, needing support while care providers are away, or who would like to live in one of our communities before making a final commitment to move, take advantage of the short term (respite) option.
The fee for a short-term respite stay is $225/day for a studio apartment and $250/day for a one bedroom. The respite option requires a minimum stay of 30 days and includes a furnished apartment, linens, towels, toiletries, basic cable and phone service. There is an additional daily fee for a second person when applicable. An application and physician’s evaluation for each resident is required. Once the wellness assessment is complete, a respite agreement is executed. Often, when required, this process can be expedited within 24 hours.
