An Introduction to Greek Architecture: From the Acropolis to the Islands
Easley Hamner, Architect
Easley Hamner is a now retired Cambridge architect currently teaching a course at Harvard Institute for Learning in Retirement (HILR) on “The Soul of Ancient Cities,” focused on Athens and the Piraeus. His presentation has its origins in that course, enabled by having traveled to Greece eight times. He will be showing images of the historic buildings of the Acropolis, including the Parthenon, Erechtheion, and Proplylaia, as well as traditional vernacular buildings from Mykonos and Santorini.
